Circuit training. It's not just for cokeheads anymore.

Sorry, bad joke.

Trainer on vacation next week, so I'm on my own. Good part? I dont get billed. Lets see how motivated i can be. He left me a list to do, and of course included lots of exercises I hate, but at weights I can handle without spotting.

Gotta buy supplements again. *sigh*

Shoulder better than it was, but still sore... Still needs some babying. Thank GOD my back is back to normal thanks to my abs being in better shape.

Wow. Slacking with the updates...

Wow. Slacking with the updates... sorry.

I'm back to my old "building" exercises, but much more in circuit training mode. Treadmill every trip to the gym. And of course, the ab exercises.

Bleh. I gotta get these abs in shape.

Turkey day not only screwed up my schedule but added about 50 lbs of pudge.

So, I tried to post

So, I tried to post again last Friday. Couldnt get to blogger.

ABS HURT. BURN BURN BURN. But it's better than back pain, lemme tell ya.

Starting back on arms/shoulders/chest/back... inching up on the treadmill to 20 minutes per day in 2 minute increments. 90 crunches, 80 reverse crunches, 80 obliques (40 each side).

Scotti complemented me this morning on how I looked at the movies the other night. Nice. I'm so used to hearing from him about how out of shape I am, it's a nice change. I'm really really happy. Just gotta get my gut flat. Damn...

Monday was gym day. Rehab

Monday was gym day. Rehab rehab rehab. I did 6 mins on the treadmill, 90 crunches, 60 reverse crunches, 60 of these other things over a ball... a weird balancing shoulder exercise, some push-ups with one arm on a raised block... lots of new and exciting stuff. NOT. I HATE REHAB. I want to build build build. But instead I'm getting SOFT. 2 weeks without doing my regular exercises and I'm getting SOFT.

GODDAMN my abs. And my back. I HATE HATE HATE this. I just want to get back to the real work.

So, last night I went

So, last night I went to the gym and killed my abs. 90 crunches, 2 sets of 15 reps each side for obliques, and 40 reverse crunches. Um. Yeah. I hurt still today, but my back is mucho better, still. I even did a little stretching (pull ups) and some shoulder and arm work. I even did some time on the treadmill again. It felt so good to be back there... aside from the ab work :) Guess I'll really have to keep up on that now.

I havent called the PT yet since I really really really dont think it's necessary. Yes, it's against doctor's orders, but at this point I DONT CARE.

Abs abs abs. Now I'm forced to do them.

Ok. Well then. Lets see.

Ok. Well then. Lets see. I just paid $15 for someone to a) realign my spine and b) tell me to ice (and/or) heat my back, sit up straight, use good posture, get a good chair, and WORK ON MY ABS.

Mother of god.

And I have to do mandatory physical therapy. At least once. (Umm... lets see. You told me all these new exercises to do??? And gave me a list? And I have to go see a therapist WHY? So I can get a note that says I gave the university more money for them to tell me what I know?

Yep. And see the doctor to tell him how things are going in another 3 weeks.

Guess I'll call my trainer this morning.
