God love command line...
Yeah. Ok. I am a geek. You all knew that already. And, I guess I could say that I'm much less of a geek than I used to be. I mean, I've forgotten quite a bit of what I knew about obscure British sci-fi back in the late 80s/early 90s. I think I killed those brain cells. Probably from hanging out with the frat boys and drinking way too much while in Athens.
But, I'm happy to note that in the last few days I've set up a webserver on my laptop (which Apple royally misconfigured to begin with -- good thing I knew a bit about Unix and Apache) and THEN managed to add php and cgi functionality. Next comes MySQL and asp. Yeah. Right. Oh, and Perl is supposedly already built-in, but if it's anything like the the last two pieces, it will be more than just a switch-flip.
God love command-line editing. God bless pico.
I never thought I would say I am glad for all the work I did at the Dispatch and the Unix classes I took at OU.
