shopping for appliances

today, after breakfast and a movie (a mighty wind) with Juice and the Vee, we went shopping for fridges, dehumidifiers, lawnmowers, garage door openers, ladders, and mortar.

What we found was, Sears Kenmore appliances prices beat anybody, and they're made by Whirlpool and Fridgidaire. How sad that none of the other stores seemed to have even close to matching prices, even on sale.

Well, perhaps next week I will check Appliance Smart.

In the meantime, I found the following retro chrome mixer. Hooray!

So anyway... time to do my budgets and start packing.

We spent $3,000 on appliances tonight at Best Buy. What's cool about Best Buy is they have 18 months FREE financing on large appliances. We got a Fridgedaire Refrigerator, Whirlpool dishwasher, Sharp Microwave and a Hotpoint stove - not sure about the Hotpoint, never had one, but it came in black and all our appliances MUST be black, so we bought it. :) We also got a cool new Dysan vacuum.

Sounds like you two are living the same life we are at the moment. Isn't it fun spending money on a HOME, not just a house?? :)
