battery life
So, just for kicks, I'm trying the power management reset on my ibook again. I set the energy settings to highest consumption, unplugged it, and it's been running the screen saver for over 30 minutes past when it hit the 0% mark. It died just now. I'll keep it unplugged till the little heartbeat light goes out.
Maybe this time, the reset will work?

I'm grasping at straws here, but I'm wondering if there may be some extraneous processes running the background? (Above the normal extraneous processes.) Or maybe one evil process that's taxing the system?
I know the Airport card hoards power like crazy -- maybe pull it out and see if there's an extreme difference?
I guess if Apple's acknowledged it then...
Still, I'm curious what the difference is in my 500MHz iBook that kept me from experiencing the same problem. Inquiring minds want to know...
