sidekicking

So I got my new toy. Typing this from it now. Obviously sprints phone wasn't my only problem. This thing drops signal constantly too.

I'm guessing the Sidekick is a GSM/GPRS phone? GSM service around town is somewhat sketchy from any carrier -- at least for the next year or two.

I have killer service in Reynoldsburg, Grandview -- and most other places -- but *nothing* at my parents in North Columbus. Go figure.

Of course, if you have a signal and calls are still dropping, that probably wouldn't explain it.

Yup, it's gsm, but as with my old phone, signal can go from 0 bars to full and back again in seconds, even when perfectly immobile.
