eye spy... or not
so... i went in for my 3pm appointment at 3pm, and waited till 3:40 when the girls at the registration desk realized I had signed in, and then called the optometrist who I had an appointment with.
turns out, she had called my house at 3:25 to cancel my appointment and reschedule, but I was sitting in the waiting room.
so, when she came and got me, there was another partial eye exam (ugh!) before they dilated my pupil, and then -- an hour. then 4 bad snapshots showing nothing, a $15 copay, and I have to go get a retinal scan in 2 weeks.
and then a 35 minute walk home with dilated pupils.
FUN!

Excuse me, but since you were in the waiting room a the time of your appointment, they didn't realize that, made you wait I would ask that fee be refunded because of their neglect!
I have this wierd assed opinion that when a services provider fails to honour their obligation to keep an appointment for the time scheduled you should even start charging them for your time!
It's like, you said 3PM, I was here, you weren't so you need to start paying ME and I would send an invoice!
That's how it should work!

Ugh. Yes, I am of that opinion too. And dont even get me started on their "new" scheduling software which doesnt accurately show free time, so it double books appointments.
That department is SO mismanaged. I was tempted to write a letter.
