the legend of zelda
So... I wake up this morning and in my email Inbox is a note from my grandmother's cousin once removed, telling me she has photocopies of information about parts of my family, and would be willing to send them along, but she needed my address.
In the second part of the email, she also requested my grandmother's snail mail address, because her aunt, Zelda, misses Gram and wants to write her a letter. Zelda is 93, and so is less than two years younger than Gram.
My aunt was always glad when [your grandmother] came to reunion as [she] was the oldest member and not Zelda. She is my father's much younger sister and has out lived all her brothers and sisters. ... She still lives alone and is very active, uses a cane when she is away from [home].

Zelda. Who knew it was a family name? Why does it make me think of Roz from Monsters, Inc. ? Ah, but it was Zelda Rose and her singing owl where I first heard the name...
