commercial craziness

as i'm typing up my last entry, i saw two commericials that made me want to comment.

The second one, kind of nostalgic, was a new "Reach" commercial featuring the return of the "flip-top head". It would've made me laugh, had I not still been reeling from the commercial prior to it...

A couple is talking to each other on their way home from dinner in their car. Out of nowhere, a truck crosses their path and sends them careening, and both airbags blow. Shaken, they console each other and speak to the cop. I'm sorry, but every second of OUR last accident came flooding back, as I'm sure did anyone else's who had ever been in a serious accident. Effective. It certainly got my attention, albeit not what they would want. I dont think I could buy from a company who would send memory-based shocks thru my body just to sell a product.
