crazy kids...
i was just reading the hairmonster times to nala a couple nights ago, in which one of my favorite stories about little kids appears. I won't repeat them, but simply tell you to go check them out.
today, i got a quick email from the sis, thanking me for my niece's belated birthday gifts (hey, i was only 4 months late.) apparently there are photos to be sent of katie playing with her new toys.
but the one thing she said made me cringe: "kate took 2 HOURS to get down last night. She would not go to sleep on her own. She'd fall asleep on me; I'd put her down, then 2 minutes later she'd be crying again. It wouldn't be so bad, and I'd let her cry herself to sleep, but unfortunately for me whenever she cries too hard, she vomits. lovely. So, to avoid the half an hour clean-up session, I just pick her up to calm her down. Not the greatest parenting technique, but I'm really not too fond of vomit."
Me either. And poopies runs a close second, but is usually easier to clean up.
