lost in a bin

today i started again sorting the back, "baby" room. primarily used as storage, with a secondary use as a guest bedroom (aka "Jay's room"). Until I ran out of quart ziplock baggies in which to put figures. Then, I sorted some paperwork and started a big bag o trash. Until I couldn't stand or walk because my legs were asleep. Then, I decided to hit the basement and get out the Dif wallpaper remover and start on the pink elephant and orange giraffe border.

Let me just say that I am a dumbass for not starting that shit sooner. Even in a half-cleared room, I was able to get 2/3 of the border down, and it was easy. No damage to the walls at all. Seriously, a coat of paint and that room will be sweet. I had thought I was going to maintain the sunny yellow, but now I'm having second thoughts. I still might, really. I'm just thinking "man, if we end up staying, I think I might like it a slightly different color, because that's WAY too much yellow.

And Nala has been sanding and painting the hallway ceiling. I must say it looks fantastic and I am very proud.

And with that, I think I'll go back to sorting paperwork in the other bedroom. If I'm lucky, I'll clear enough space to get to the corner and take down another section of border.
