damn. he got me.

so, here goes. i used to work in college radio (this guy was my boss, at one point), and most of my taste is bound to that period in my life, combined with early college (5 years prior to that), and the eclectic mix that was my parents' record collection.

i listen to about 10 minutes of radio in the morning, and then either streaming ACRN or WBNS, or my mp3s at work, when I can close my door.

Total volume of music files on my computer(s):
17.4gb. or so. that's what's on my laptop + what's archived to cd-r. I still have about 150 cds that need to be ripped.

The last CD I bought:
Hm. Garden State? or Red Violin? I got the new Weezer for free, and Mr. and Mrs. B got me the last Interpol album.

Five songs I listen to a lot, or mean a lot to me:

This was hard. I dont have any songs that have any real "meaning" to me, and I'd be hard pressed to find songs that I listen to a lot. But, I have certain songs that make me think about turning points in my life. Nothing deep here; I just remember what I was doing when I was listening to these songs. They don't "mean" anything. And I don't listen to them a lot.

Beastie Boys: Brass Monkey (40 junior high band nerds, singing on the bus)
Def Leppard: Love Bites (high school breakups suck - to hairband ballads)
the Smiths: There is a Light (college breakups suck, and are moody)
the Cure: Friday I'm in Love (breakups because of distance suck more)
Pavement: Shady Lane (worlds collide, and all I want is a Shady Lane)
White Town: Your Woman (relationship cleanup)
