wardriving

so, yesterday, I was blogging and corresponding from Cup-O-Joe in Clintonville... and later Cafe Corner on 3rd and Pennsylvania Avenues. All of Cup-O-Joe's and Stauf's locations have free Internet Oasis wireless access (except maybe the airport?), and Pete at Cafe Corner just installed his.

Getting "away" from things just for a short time, and still being able to connect to the 'net is a great thing. I haven't really looked for any other wireless points, since they're so prevalent in the coffee shops. The Vee already has claimed a spot on our new back deck when we move in. I suppose I should upgrade to Airport Extreme at some point... she might be able to access that from her apartment, 150 feet away.

I pay $2/month for unlimited wireless at OSU, but not all buildings are up-to-date. However, the Oval is, and a lot of the classrooms in the buildings in which I have classes or meetings.

Has anyone you know gone "wardriving" here in town, or found other open wireless spots?
