annoyed by apple

annoyances:

1) no power button on keyboard
2) initial startup leads to loud musical number, as well as "Setup assistant"
3) eject for optical drive is now a just a key on the keyboard. i could not find any other place to eject an empty cd tray.

praises:

1) easy entry to guts of computer
2) beauty
3) beauty
4) beauty

that's my short list.

I was told by our resident "Mac Guy" (IT person who knows what a Macintosh is) that the keyboard power button was removed due to "fire hazard issues."

and if you dont have the most contemporary keyboard, you're screwed? i have a feeling my users wont like the new keyboard. i certainly don't.

the dvd drive is making a ticking noise as it spins. lovely.
